This December 2026, we are planning a special week in which the children can learn from local artisans and create handmade items like duffle bags, bookbags, leather sandals, and more! They will gain practical skills and discover how those skills can create opportunities for their future.

While we hope each child has the opportunity to pursue their dreams, the reality is that not everyone will attend college or become a doctor. Practical skills and the ability to create and earn are crucial for every child’s future.

We would love your help making this week possible! Donations will help cover the costs of sending a Board member to organize the week, hiring local artisans, and providing supplies needed for the children to participate.

We plan to bring some of their handmade items back to the States for individuals to purchase!

Per Social Services, we must build an incinerator for garbage disposal at a cost of approximately $1,000. The image above is a mockup of what it would look like attached to one of our buildings.

Our kids LOVE to read! The Center currently has only two age-appropriate books, and over the summer, the children were competing over who would get to take one back to their room each night. Their curiosity has inspired us to plan a December Book Drive so we can build a small library for them.

We envision National Geographic Magazines, Paperback Books (fiction & non-fiction), puzzles, lego-building figures, board games.

The cost is approximately $200 per checked bag. We are projecting the need for 5-6 suitcases, roughly $1,200 to cover luggage fees.
